What would you tell your younger self, knowing what you know now?
With May being the month of Mother's I thought it would be fun (and interesting!) to ask four beautiful mums and super star Shine Sisters their advice to their younger self, as well as find out their go-to products from the Amanda Ramsay online shop.

Amanda introduced me to Edible Beauty products and I particularly love their No. 3 Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum. I credit this Serum for helping keep my 71 year old face in supple, glowing condition.
Advice to my younger self?
Time passes so quickly, you literally don’t even notice it until it begins to show. So, don't wait to use the good china, go on the trip, eat the cake, wear the red lippie, watch the late movie, read your favourite book, or take a chance in life... the time is now! Live passionately while there is still time!

Mii Cosmetics Forever Eye Crayons are my favourite eye-shadow-for-dummies. You can’t get it wrong!
And of course the Runway Room Multiple Stick. Gotta love one product that can double up to colour your cheeks and lips!

Fave Beauty or Makeup Product?
I love the Ere Perez Beetroot Lip Stain because it gives fantastic staying power to all lipsticks with absolutely no nasties. I love this because we all know that we ingest what goes onto our lips right? Plus it does not dry out the lips either so it is a far superior product to anything else for long lasting lipstick.
Advice to my younger self?
“Be kind to yourself, accept who you are and do not beat yourself up.”
Pretty raw and real I know but it is the truth!

Fave Beauty or Makeup Product?
I cannot speak highly enough of two products that I use under makeup – Edible Beauty No. 3 Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum and Antipodes Baptiste H20 Ultra Hydrating Moisturiser. I use one or both of these depending on how much moisture my face looks like it needs. They both provide beautiful moisture and sink really quickly into the skin so you don’t have to wait around before getting on with your makeup.
After over 40 years of using makeup I can honestly say that the Mii Cosmetics Forever Eye Crayon is my favourite ever makeup product. Big call I know! But these are the bomb – simple to apply and to blend, and they last and last. I use these when I’m in a hurry and just do a quick colour wash over the whole lid (blended with my finger). When I’ve got more time, I’ll use a couple of colours and blend with a brush.
Advice to my younger self?
Just be yourself, don’t try to fit in with the crowd. You’re enough just as you are. And don’t have any regrets – just learn from mistakes and move on. Life will be great xx
