How do you stop your makeup sliding down your face and get the J Lo glow?

Seriously how is one supposed to wear makeup and freshly styled hair in this ghastly heat? My fine, wispy hair looks like a bad bodywave from the 80's. All. The Time. Not for our friend J Lo. Effortless, hotness. All day long.
I'm frequently asked "how on earth to keep makeup looking fabulous and stop my makeup sliding down my face" and disappearing in the Summer months.
Truth is, it's really bloody hard.
I do have 5 expert tips to keep your makeup looking as fresh as possible whilst under the assault of Summer. Here are 5 expert tips to stop your makeup sliding and look fresh.
1. Lighten up
Unless you've diabolically oily skin and you really can't bear a little dewiness, leave that full coverage mattifying long-wearing, aka suffocating, foundation alone. You all know how I feel about this type of foundation anyway and in Summer ... move away from the full coverage for a lightweight, fresh and luminous makeup look.
Lighten up girl. Let your skin look like skin, yes it might be a dewier version of you - but work with the shine of Summer, not against it.
Choose a lighter weight liquid foundation or BB cream to even out skin tone.

2. Radiate

4. Blot
