How to wear makeup while rocking a face mask.

Cranking up your eye makeup while wearing a mask is a fantastic idea. While masks are functional, practical, and potentially life-saving, they do leave you with limited zones to play makeup with, can leave you feeling a little "blah" and irritate your skin. Here's a video that shows you how to wear makeup, hydrate your skin and still rock your mask.

We know 5 key things help:

1. Play up your eyes

2. Define your brows

3. Hydrate your skin

4. Change your mask regularly

5. Don't wear makeup under the mask "zone".

Disclaimer:

The aim of Secrets from a Beauty Insider by Amanda Ramsay is to introduce you to products and provide you with simple techniques for makeup and skincare products that are specifically flattering for women over 40. You will only find me talking about products that I love and genuinely use. Each product is tried, tested, and much loved by me - I've worked with thousands of women aged 40+ over my 18 years as a professional makeup artist. No paid-for commentary here, you only get authentic, honest advice and information. I won't talk about a product that I don't like but you may hear me harp on about products that I love - a lot!

The views expressed here are my own and are based on having personally tried the products myself and on my clients aged over 40. The products I use in these makeup tutorials and videos are either purchased by me, part of my professional kit, or I've requested them from PR companies. I do not take unsolicited PR samples and only request what I think looks interesting and effective for women aged over 40, then I spend weeks trialing each product on myself and my clients. I am not paid for creating the makeup videos and tutorials that you watch here. Some of the videos may contain affiliate links, these will be marked with an asterisk *. If you are happy to click on these links know that I may earn a teeny weeny affiliate payment, so you are continuing to support Amanda Ramsay Makeup and I thank you. Everyone's skin is different and I offer no guarantees nor do I claim to be an aesthetician or dermatologist. It’s always best to test products (especially skincare) on your skin to check for allergies or reactions before you buy. Some makeup and skincare brands will offer you samples. As much as possible I support Australian makeup and skincare brands.
